Car Hire Excess Cover
From as little as €2.99 per day or €59.99 for an annual policy, we can now cover the excess on your car hire whilst abroad, or within your usual country of residence for a small additional premium. Our policy is underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance who are a wholly owned subsidiary of AXA Assistance SA and part of the worldwide Axa Group.
Your car hire generally covers you for Collision Damage Waiver and Theft. In most agreements you are still liable for the first portion of the repair or replacement costs otherwise known as the excess, which can vary from €100 up to €2,000.
If the car is damaged the car rental company will charge your credit card for the excess amount and you then claim for reimbursement on your Policy.
We insure the Policy holder, not the car rental vehicle. Do not take the car hire company's excess cover at the counter when you collect the car, insure before you go. Car Hire Excess cover is ideal if you want to save money before you collect your rental vehicle.
